What motivates my passion for my work

My purpose has always been creative expression. Through my professional practice, I am able to unify my love for curiosity and exploration with practical and tangible results for my clients.

I literally stumbled into my career as a storytelling consultant. After some false starts in my early 20s, trying to put my business degree to work, I went walkabout. I spent the next half-decade exploring the world on what was, in retrospect, a wild and remarkable creative journey.

I studied with storytelling mentors, I developed my confidence and creative skill. I was in search of my calling—and what I found on this foundational journey transformed me.

When I came back home after years abroad, I imagined that I would become an author and a thought leader—or, at the very least, an Instagram influencer. I never thought, at first, that I would end up returning to business. It’s funny how things can come full circle. It has been a great and humbling journey to unify my individual creativity with the requirements of the evolving professional world. In essence, this is the same journey I travel with my clients.

How interactive is your sales storytelling training?

Very! We keep the energy up with real world examples of effective sales storytelling, dynamic content and facilitation style, and plenty of structured exercises in pairs and peer learning groups.

What types of storytelling does this storytelling training for sales cover?

This training takes a principle-based approach to business storytelling. That means the principles can be applied broadly to any kind of business communication. We address written and verbal communication in emails, reports, Powerpoint decks, presentations, videos, social media and much, much more.

Does this sales storytelling training cover storytelling with data?

Yes! The principles learned in this workshop apply to storytelling with data and other visuals. Participants learn how to clarify their message, find the emotional core and relate it to their stakeholders or other audiences. Then, they practice applying these ideas to real examples of their workplace messaging.

However, this storytelling training is not a detailed focus on infographic design. If you’re looking for something like that, we highly recommend Storytelling with Data.

Do you tailor the training content to our team?

Yes! Before every storytelling training, we conduct research that allows us to customize content and examples to your group. These examples may include reports, documents, Powerpoint deck, or other relevant “stories”.

I have a shorter/longer timeline or a bigger/smaller group. Can you accommodate us?

Yes! We love working with our clients to maximize the value they get from our sales storytelling training. Just send us a message!

Does everyone have to present in front of the group?

No! The sales storytelling training uses a mix of structured exercises, peer-learning groups and large group sessions to introduce and learn the material. Your sales team will participate in exercises in pairs and groups of four, but no one will be obligated to present anything in front of the entire group.

Does Jordan Bower facilitate every sales storytelling workshop?

Yes! I have custom designed the content, and I deliver it in a tailored way to every group. I have successfully delivered nearly 200 storytelling workshops!

Are there additional resources after the sales storytelling workshop?

Yes! Your team will receive additional materials, recommended readings, and tools to continue developing their storytelling skills after the workshop. These are customized based on what we discuss during the session. Additionally, I will meet with your leadership after the workshop to reflect on the learning experience and to recommend customized next steps.

Can you help continue our learning after the sales storytelling training?
